Patrick James Bare

Pat lost his battle with cancer on September, 16, 2010. Pat’s fight with cancer was truly heroic. Even though Sarcoma was slowly taking him from us, he never allowed it hinder his ability live life to the fullest and love his family and friends to an extreme. The loss of Pat will affect all of us to the core.

In life Pat was a leader, teacher, friend, advisor, and problem solver. Everything Pat did in life was full tilt, never half way, always planned and executed to the letter. As a son he was he was what every parent would hope their child would become. As a brother he was more than we ever deserved. As a husband, dedicated, loving and determined. As a father strict, caring and understanding. To everyone else he was just larger than life, but a person not to walk behind but beside.

Pat was eclectic to say the least. Pat was a competitive athlete, baseball, fast pitch softball, modified, slowpitch, waterpolo, diving, snow skiing, arial skiing, golf, wrestling and more. He was also a true lover of the outdoors, hunting, fishing, hiking, plus more than I can mention. Pat also had a passion for motorcycles and riding.

Sarcoma is a cancer that has no rhyme or reason. It’s a cancer that is totally random. Until now there was no cancer in our family, this cancer will strike without warning and without prejudice. There is very little research or treatment for sarcoma. This is why my family has taken on this challenge.

This has been a very basic description of Pat. So when I ask for your help in this battle against Sarcoma I hope you will see someone you love in my story about my brother and try to understand why I don’t want anyone else to loose what my family has lost.

Forever missed, never forgotten
Love you forever big brother

Thank you
